Display Quikscribe icons on task bar
Windows 7, 8 and 10 use a dynamic graphical icon for applications in the task bar, so QS Recorder can’t display the Record/Rewind/Play/FF actions in the task bar when the application is minimized. However, the system tray (on the right side of the bottom task bar) can display those functions if you pin the QSR icon to the bottom line using these steps: 1. Click the arrow in the system tray to display all the applications running in the system tray. 2. Select Customize. 3. Find the icon for QSR.exe in the list. Change the associated Behavior for QSR.exe to Show icon and notifications. Select Ok. The QSR icon will then display in the system tray area of the bottom task bar, and the icon will change display according to the action used in QSR (Record, Play, Rewind, FF). Video Explanation 4. Hide Date/Time required prefix from filename
The filename in the blue banner at the top of the main Quikscibe Player banner may display only the author’s initials or name and the file number. To access the preference to hide the date and time prefix: 1. Click the Quikscribe Settings icon. 2. Select the Display Option tab. Check the item Hide date/time required prefix from filename. Click OK. Checking this option will remove the date/time prefix from the filename in the title bar of the Quikscribe Player interface.
