To deregister, do the following within Quikscribe. 1. Select the Help menu. Select the License Info option. 2. Click the button Check Registration. 3. Print or copy your license number so you can paste it to or enter it in another computer. 4. Click the button Deregister. 5. Click the button Deregister again. Click close. 6. Once done, screen will show Complete Deregistration. Click Close. Uninstall Quikscribe from your PC if no longer needed. You can also keep it installed. Create Profile/User
In order to create new profile/user for your new employee or typist: Open Quikscribe Player. Click File at the top. Select Change Profile. Type in the new user's name in the box provided. Click Add Profile button. Click OK button. You can also add or create new profile directly in your QsFiles Profiles folder. Go to your QsFiles folders. It might be in a different directory path in your computer. Select one of the profiles that was already created, and right-click using your mouse. Select Copy. Click on anywhere inside the folder, right-click using your mouse and select Paste. The newly pasted profile will show up like this, with -Copy in the name. Select it and right-click using your mouse. Select Rename. Type-in your new user's name. It will not show the new profile's name. Create Path for New User
If you have a new employee, you have to create a new folder or path for them. This is where audio files will be sent for them to receive and work on. Open Windows Explorer, and go to the directory path where your typists' folder are located. This might show differently on your computer. Click on anywhere inside the folder. Right-click using your mouse, and select New. Select Folder. Type-in the name of your new user/employee. This will not show up in the directory, as shown below.
