Open Quikscribe Player and go to File. 2. Select Convert Media to Wav. 3. Click the Browse button. 4. Select the file to be converted. 5. Click Open. 6. Click Browse button next to Path. Destination path is where you want to save or send the converted audio file. 7. Select the folder. 8. Click OK button. 9. Click Convert to Wav button. 10. Message will pops up to confirm that convert was successful. Click OK button. The detailed view of Quikscribe Recorder and Player provide a “normal’ view when opening files. By clicking on each file in the list, you are able to view the details of each file. There is an additional module called Detailed View that provides a table-based view of files. You can access this option by clicking on “view” in the “Open Audio” tab. By clicking on the column heading, you can quickly sort the list by that column, and quickly retrieve the desired file. Connecting the Quikscribe Foot Switch
The Quikscribe Player Software requires a sound card and a headset (or speakers) to work correctly. If you cannot hear any audio being played, here are four possible reasons: Your speakers or headset may not be correctly plugged in. Check to see they are plugged into the correct output jack. If your sound card is color coded, Green normally represents the speaker output, and Black means Line Out. It is preferable to use the Speaker output because the signal will be amplified, whereas the Line Out jack will require amplification Your speakers or headset may not be working. To check, plug in a known working set and test again. Your output volume level may be too low, which means you will have to adjust the audio level of your sound card. It is possible that your sound card is not working, not installed or incorrectly installed.
