Display Quikscribe icons on task bar
Windows 7, 8 and 10 use a dynamic graphical icon for applications in the task bar, so QS Recorder can’t display the Record/Rewind/Play/FF actions in the task bar when the application is minimized.
However, the system tray (on the right side of the bottom task bar) can display those functions if you pin the QSR icon to the bottom line using these steps:
1. Click the arrow in the system tray to display all the applications running in the system tray.
2. Select Customize.
3. Find the icon for QSR.exe in the list. Change the associated Behavior for QSR.exe to Show icon and notifications. Select Ok.
The QSR icon will then display in the system tray area of the bottom task bar, and the icon will change display according to the action used in QSR (Record, Play, Rewind, FF).
4. Also add the icon for the Sequential File Sender to the task bar, so that it can alert you with a red color if the computer fails to send the dictation file to the network transcription folder.
