The Digitel System is what we use for call-in or phone dictation. 1. Check if your pc is using a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system. 2. Do not connect the DigiTel Pod to a USB Port yet. 3. On the CD, run “DigiTel 32-Bit Installation” or “DigiTel 64-Bit Installation”. The DigiTel User Manual is available on the CD and on the website too. 4. Run the Full Installation Program and then follow the following instructions: click “OK”, “OK”, “Setup”, the “Square PC Picture” (installing in the “c:\Apptec\DigiTel\” directory only), “Yes” if asked “do you want to keep this file?”, “Continue”, and then “OK”. 5. Do not run the DigiTel program yet. Now connect the DigiTel Pod to your pc’s USB Port. If you have more than one Pod, just connect one 4-line Pod at this time. 6. Set up to Send by Email
1. Click Quikscribe Recorder Settings icon. 2. Go to Author’s Details. Enter your Email address. Check either Use SMTP Server or your default email client. 3. If you do not have desktop email or if you wish to use your SMTP server or the Quikscribe Server, selectSMTP Settings. 4. If you elect to use your SMTP server, you must enter your SMTP (outgoing) server name, which has a format such as mail.yourisp.com or smtp.yourisp.com. In addition, enter your SMTP (outgoing) server port number, which often is 25. You may need to contract your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to get your server name and port number. If your ISP requires user authentication, check the box Server requires name and password. Then enter your email Username and password. Your server name is required in order to enter your username and password. If your ISP matches address to authentication, check Match sender address to authentication. 1. Open Quikscribe Recorder. 2. Click the Open Audio File icon. 3. Select the Sent Audio Directory in the bottom left of the Open Audio panel. 4. Click on a file in the sent directory to view the File Details. File Details included are: the date and time sent, the typist destination, the sent filename, and the status.
