Audio Feedback When Recording

If you are experiencing audio feedback problems when recording with Quikscribe, it is because of the way your Sound Card is currently configured under Windows. To resolve the problem: Select File from the Menu Bar Then select Play/Record Levels If the Microphone is ON , turn it OFF (mute it) Then close the Volume Control dialogue box Now create a new audio file and test to see if this resolves the problem when playing audio back. Note: Muting the microphone under the Volume Control dialogue box will not turn of the microphone when recording. It will simply turn of the Microphone input when you playback the audio, so the audio doesn’t feedback into the microphone. …

Update Admin Rights of Windows User Account for Quikscribe

Quikscribe softwares should always be run as an Administrator. One of the possible issues that may come up when it's used by a Windows user with limited privilege is error when sending or completing files to the network. In order to check your User Level settings, you can do the following: Go to Start and select Control Panel. Click User Accounts. It will take you to the page where you can see your User Account overview. It should say "Administrator" as shown below. If you're still unable to complete or send files to the network, or as an alternative from getting Admin Rights, you or your IT person can set/edit your permissions to the network folder.  Locate your network folder for Quikscribe. Normally, you can find this in --> Computer --> Network Location section as shown below: Right-click, and select Properties. Go to Security tab. If you already see your name in the Group or usernames list, proceed to step 6. If not, click Edit. Click Add. …

Unblock Security

Security error may be encountered during installation. In this case, the following steps could fix this error: 1. Right-click on the installation file. 2. Select “Properties.” 3. In the new window, click on “Unblock.” 4. Click “Apply.” 5. Then, click “OK.” 6. You may now try to install the player again. Don’t forget to select “Run as Administrator.” …
