Set-up

Philips has the free Recorder mobile app that can send files via the internal email mobile app. The files are in the native file format for the device (.m4a for Apple, I think Android is .wav). Quikscribe Player will recognize both .m4a and .wav They also have the Dictation Hub service that costs $120/year (with 30-day free trial), and allows up to 5 pre-set destinations via email or FTP, and it’s easier to send files. Files are converted to .wav or .mp3 format when delivered. For Android users, click here. For Apple users, click here 1. Configure the settings by going to Settings, then Forwarding. 2. Click Dictation Hub. 3. Follow the prompts: Fill-in the following information: File should can either be mp3 or WAV. 4. When you go back to Forwarding again, Dictation Hub should say ON. 5. Setting Audio Levels for Recording

Tips for setting the microphone sound level input for Quikscribe Recorder when recording directly into QSR using a hand control microphone such as the Philips SpeechMike, Grundig SonicMic, Olympus DR-2000, or other PC microphone). Select System Settings in QS Recorder, click on Record Device (under Audio Devices) to select the microphone device you will use for recording. Then click on Record Device Settings to use Windows Control Panel to select the record device (hand control microphone you are using) and click on Properties to then select the Levels tab and adjust the input volume to about the 80% setting. You can also select the audio Playback Device to route the playback audio to the speaker in your hand control microphone.  We recommend doing this so that only dictation playback is routed to the hand control mike, and all other Windows audio is routed to your default playback device (usually desktop speakers). Sending via Email

Dictation Hub service comes with a 30-day free trial. It costs $120/year after that. It allows up to 5 pre-set destinations via email or FTP, and it’s easier to send files.  Files are converted to .wav or .mp3 format when delivered. If you don’t opt to use Dictation Hub, you can send your audio files using the internal email app of your smartphone. See instructions below: 1. Make sure that Email Sending is selected in Settings>Forwarding. 2. Once your done dictating, click the send icon below. 3. Select Email from the options. 4.
