Trend Micro

Open your Trend Micro Internet Security and click the Settings icon as shown below. Click Exception Lists from the menu at the left. Click Programs/folders in the sub-menu list. Click the Add button. Click Browse. Browse to Quikscribe program files, and select Quikscribe Recorder/Player applications. C:\Program Files (x86)\Quikscribe or C:\Program Files\Quikscribe – all programs/applications inside Quikscribe Player/Quikscribe Recorder folder have to be added. Demo Mode Error

If your Quikscribe Downloader is showing in Demo Mode while your Quikscribe Recorder shows in full licence, you can try resetting up the Profile path for your Downloader. See instructions below: 1. Connect your Dictation Device to your computer’s USB port. 2. Open the Quikscribe Downloader. 3. Go to Settings and click Device Settings. 4. Click the blank box as shown below, to select the QSR profile to use. 5. Select your QSR profile and click Open. Note: recorder.pfl is the default, if you have set different profiles before, this will show the names of the people who dictate. 6. You may also set-up the default send paths (folder to send the files to) by clicking the Send Paths button. 7. Select the Typist’s name and click Close. 8. Finally, click Save. You might need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect. …

Quikscribe Licence Server Error

There is a known issue with Philips Digital Pocket Memo and Quikscribe Recorder, Downloader. It normally causes any or all of the following: 1. Crashes the Quikscribe Recorder as the DPM connects to the computer. 2. It reverts the Quikscribe Downloader to Demo Mode 3. An error message occurs: “We have been unable to connect to the Quikscribe Licence server and you have attempted to run the software more than the maximum allowable times. Please contact your system administrator.” Our programming team has already been working to fixing this issue. The below is a suggested and tested work around to fix this. Note: Please make sure that your Windows user profile has admin rights, before performing the following troubleshooting steps.” 1. Uninstall any version of Quikscribe Recorder from your computer. 2. Make sure that there are no Quikscribe Recorder files of any versions saved in your computer. It is normally located in your Program Files folder - C:\Program …
